Having successfully delivered previous projects at this Hotel in Chester, our scope of work extended to a newly refurbished bar. We designed and supplied lighting and lighting control to the bar and dining area of the hotel.
The interior décor of the bar is very traditional and intricate. Spotlights were used to highlight the intricate patterns on the ceiling and illuminate the wooden beams and structure creating a comfortable and relaxing ambience.
Illuminating the beautiful architecture
Many decorative features were used to enhance the theme of the bar and bring light into the space, highlighting the key architectural features and complimenting the interior design colour palette, materials, and furniture. Decorative low energy wall lights and lights from the bar display create an interesting centre piece to the space whilst illuminating the exposed beam ceiling. All these lighting features contributes to the relaxing ambience, leaving a memorable impression on guests.

Energy efficient wall lighting provides subtle illumination contributing to the strong interior aesthetic and enhancing the style of the artwork and picture frames. Highlighting the frames and transforms the walls and environment creating an authentic experience for guests.
Create moods and
easily alter scenes
The bar operates throughout the day into the evening, therefore a scene setting system controlled by an astronomical timeclock is used, to ensure that the correct scene is applied at the relevant time of day. To minimise the clients costs we expanded the lighting system that we had previously provided in an adjacent area of the hotel. Scene setting allows the client to balance the lighting with the natural light during the day, but more importantly at night when more lower-level scenes are applied for early and late evening.
