A traditional Victorian-style hotel offering spectacular views of the English Channel located in Folkstone, was undergoing extensive refurbishment. We designed and supplied the lighting and lighting control to the hotel public areas including entrance and bar area.

Backlit Corian feature panels were an integral part of the design to the bar to create a focal point and sense of depth.
Enhancing traditional
decorative features
To the foyer of the hotel, energy efficient wall lighting was used to complement the interior styling and bring a wash of light over the decorative wallpaper.

To enhance the dropped ceilings, concealed linear perimeter lighting was used providing a warm soft glow on to the walls and the space beneath. Using warm white lighting in the hotel reception area is important, in order to create a sense of welcoming and visual comfort.

We provided illumination to the bottle bar display establishing an interesting centre piece in the bar area.
A lighting control system was designed to provide ambience, accent, and functional lighting the hotel required. Having the ability to control the lighting in the public areas of the hotel, provides flexibility for the lighting to adapt to suit the hotel’s needs throughout the day.
