This is a bespoke contemporary mews house located in Leamington Spa where we designed and supplied a lighting control scheme for all areas of the house.
The client was keen on the use of colour within the open roof spaces, the architecture enabled us to conceal linear light sources within the structural beams. A defined palette of colours was provided to enable easy selection of colours to suit the function of the space at a given time.

Staircase stringer lights for nighttime way finding

Energy efficient lights are mounted in the string to light the tread of the stairwell, providing low level lighting linking the spaces together.

Carefully circuited low glare recessed downlights are placed specifically framing the walls and corridor, drawing your eye beyond the space. Artwork throughout the property is lit appropriately adding depth and personality to the property.

Table and floor standing lamps were used to provide more localised lighting, illuminating specific areas and personal activities whilst adding to the ambient atmosphere. Recessed downlights were mounted in the false beams of the vaulted ceiling providing an even distribution of light whilst remaining discreet.

Exterior lighting creates
a relaxing outdoor space

Our scope of work extended to the external terrace where we provided wall mounted downlights to highlight the exterior furniture and planters creating a relaxing atmosphere. By adjusting the brightness and intensity of the lights, we can mimic natural light more effectively. Wall washing provides subtle illumination to the foliage and allows light to graze along the brickwork.
Scene setting is the perfect solution for open plan spaces
A scene setting lighting control system was provided to enable simple and precise control for the different lighting elements and flexibility throughout the property. Scene setting allows the client to combine a variety of light fittings ensuring lighting is just right or any activity. Scene setting is a great solution for multi-functional spaces where you undertake lots of different activities. Theses can be set to different light intensities to suit the clients’ preferences.
