We designed and supplied the lighting and lighting control system to the restaurant and bar areas of this hotel which stands within 275 acres of beautiful countryside within Devon’s Dartmoor National Park. The hotel has been awarded five Red Stars from the AA for exceptional hospitality – the highest accolade awarded by the AA and given to only the most outstanding hotels.

The quality of light is vital
in establishing the
best customer experience

Energy efficient linear lighting in the ceiling draws the eye to the details and coffers in the structure of the building, establishing a sense of height and space. It can be difficult to light rooms with very high ceilings, we enhanced this feature by supplying in-ground up lights that wash light on the classical pillars creating a sense of depth and form.

In the bar area chandeliers were retained with a contemporary oversized shade around them to create a new feature. The results are simple but fashionable.
Recessed adjustable downlights in the restaurant provide defined illumination to each table, creating a comfortable atmosphere.

Transforming the bar area
into a unique focal point

We designed and supplied lighting to the bar displays creating a prominent feature and focal point to the space. Lighting from the bar display highlights the glassware creating a unique effect and provides illumination to the surrounding space.

We provided low energy illumination to curtain fabrics adding warmth and personality to the space.

Automatic and manual control provides
ease of use

A lighting control system was provided, enabling the client to have automated and manual control over each area. Scenes can be programmed to suit the hotel’s needs, functions, and events to alter the feel of the environment.
