We designed and supplied a lighting control system for this Cotswolds cottage kitchen utilising various lighting fixtures. The extractor fan cunningly appearing as a chandelier is a prominent component to the overall design, it creates a focal point as well as an interesting effect on the ceiling – the perfect mix of practical kitchen equipment and decorative lighting.

The carefully circuited downlights, paired with the decorative elements provides a creative and flexible lighting scheme. This lighting scheme for this cottage kitchen with low ceilings was designed utilising a variety of lighting techniques to provide practical illumination for cooking, and a lovely ambience for entertainment.

Energy efficient linear LED placed under the units casts a warm soft glow onto the floor creating a floating effect and provides useful night time way finding.
An old fireplace was repurposed into a wine display which was backlit using warm colours to provide a cosy atmosphere. This concealed lighting features provides interest and focus to the space.
This is controlled via a scene setting lighting control system to provide the correct lighting ambience for various functions and activities. Scenes are programmed to suit the clients’ daily activities and requirements.

They also have collections, archives, and exhibitions which visitors can view. We were approached by the client by the client to deliver a custom luminaire to a specific brief that they provided.
