Lighting for a country house kitchen, Gloucestershire

We provided lighting design and supply services to the kitchen and dining areas of this barn conversion in Gloucestershire.

We mounted energy efficient tilted spotlights onto the beams of the pitched ceiling to emphasise the architecture and bring light to the space. The spotlights graze the stone wall reinforcing the natural structure and character of the property.

Artwork lighting is seamlessly integrated within the structure of the house creating interesting focal points.

Above the dining table we provided feature pendants, creating a more subtle glow, providing a relaxing ambience for this zone of the kitchen.

Low energy external lighting was designed to provide focal points through the large windows, linking internal and exterior spaces.

A lighting control system was designed providing control of several lighting groups to create scenes and moods. Scene setting enables the client to create the desired atmosphere with a single button press to coincide with the time of day and natural light ingress into the open plan kitchen and dining area.
