After designing the lighting for this bespoke barn conversion near Stratford upon Avon, our scope of work expanded to a new outdoor dining area set on stilts. The brief was to create a magical experience to this unique space.
Concealed low energy lighting was mounted underneath the raised pathway to provide a sense of depth and scale, and a sense of arrival. Marker lights were used along the surface of the pathway to provide way finding and highlight the texture and form of the natural materials.
Lighting a unique exterior space

Within the structure a Starliter was used to provide low intensity illumination for relaxed evening dining. The whole lighting scheme was carefully designed to create a unique and magical feature.

The wooden finished dining pod at the end of the path is subtly illuminated from the glow of the marker lighting creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

A wireless lighting control system provided scene setting from the exterior dining area as well as the main house to provide a focal point during the night and evening hours.
