Originally designed in the late 1990’s the DALI protocol has evolved over the years to provide efficient control of modern lighting loads such as LED’s. Offering the ability to tailor illumination levels and colour temperatures with precision, DALI is very flexible making it possible to create different groups to be controlled separately with easy wiring. In addition to providing control of single colour LED’s (DALI type 6 / DT6), recent developments have included the control of tunable white / dynamic white (DALI type 8 / DT8) light sources, enabling the creation of immersive and dynamic lighting experiences for any space.
